Intimacy Professional

Novelli is dedicated to empowering artists and creating dynamic stories of intimacy for stage and screen. They are committed to realizing a show’s creative vision with an emphasis on authenticity, dignity, and compassion. Novelli practices cultural humility and takes an intersectional approach to crafting scenes of intimacy.

Novelli is the founder of Cheek to Cheek Intimacy, a company dedicated to providing intimacy practitioner services and decreasing stress in artistic spaces. Credits include Stephen King’s The Stand (CBS, assisting Vancouver’s leading intimacy coordinator, P Lynn Johnson), Cursed/Too Bad by King Princess, and numerous short films including Save the Date, Pair, and Ethnic Slut.

For stage, Novelli has intimacy directed for Josh Rhodes’ Cabaret at Asolo Rep, The Hudson Shakespeare Company, and the queer comedy The Easiest Thing, by Savannah Hankinson directed by Daniel Rattner. Novelli trained with Intimacy On Set under the mentorship of pioneer-in-the-field, Ita O’Brien (Sex Education, I May Destroy You, Normal People…).

Novelli holds a Masters in Sexuality, Women, and Gender in Clinical Psychology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where they focused on LGBTQIA+ issues and Trans+ Health. They also hold a Professionals Certificate in Cooperation and Conflict Resolution from The Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution. This paired with their over ten years experience in movement and puppetry, make them an ideal candidate for creating unique and tailored intimate content, consultancy, and facilitation.
